Clay Connections

Theme:  Sustainable Practices

Tuesday, October 26, 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm  - Free

We will meet, talk, laugh, and be connected from far apart!  We'll go around the virtual room, introduce ourselves and share our ideas prompted by the theme.    This month's theme is "Sustainable Practices."

With the growing concern about global warming and the deteriorating wilds, let's put our heads together and talk about how we can do ceramics more lightly on this earth.  We make beautiful things from the earth, but we can think about making less trash, using less energy, and recycling as much as possible along the way.  Have you ever felt guilty about dumping some unusable clay or glaze in the trash or onto the earth...or down the drain?  What about works that you make that are not successful and not adding to the beauty of the world...what do you do with those?

Let's reflect and share our influences and ideas with each other.  Perhaps we can develop a "best practices" article for the NMPCA online newsletter.

To join the meeting, you need a computer with a camera, speaker and microphone.  Or, you can join with a smart phone or ipad.  You will need to download the Zoom app to your device prior to joining the meeting if you have never zoomed before.  We will send you the link to download and start the meeting when you register.  It is also possible to join via telephone if you don't have a camera and microphone.  Most of you have probably been doing zoom sessions for several months and know how they work.

Participation will be limited to 25 people.  Click Register at left to sign up.
