Artist Statement
This year, 2004, marks my thirtieth year as a professional full time artist. I consider myself exceedingly fortunate to be able to spend my days pursuing my artistic ideas.
I work in a wide variety of styles from abstract to representational, flat or relief murals to sculpture. I enjoy doing commission work and have done work in public places as well as private homes and commercial spaces. Commission work allows me to work large and I enjoy the challenge of designing a piece for a specific space.
Color is always an important component of my work.
Lately I have been working in fused and slumped glass as well as clay. I am making a series of ceramic lamps with glass shades.
